Lowton Karate Kyokushinkai is a small karate club in Lowton, located halfway between Warrington and Wigan, and offering this style of karate to anyone the North West region who would like to learn. We have members who travel from Liverpool, Manchester, and even from Yorkshire, to train at the club!

Established in early 2019, the club was founded by Sensei Mike Tanaka, 4th Dan, who previously ran the Staines Tigers Kyokushin Karate club. There is an emphasis on learning technically correct karate and developing a strong personal character – and while the discipline is strict, we do enjoy a laugh during sessions.

Children and adults train together at our two weekly sessions on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings. The club is friendly and welcoming, with members from many walks of life.
